whaddup page 12. goodbye heart shaped box.

thoughts:

-yeah. he threw the dang box off the roof. why did so many people want him to keep it anyway? i was confused. i mean this thing obviously haunts the crap out of the lad. he doesn't look at it and think happy thoughts, he looks at it and thinks about what he could've had but didn't. and what's the point of storing it away in a box so it can gather dust? just so he can unearth it in 10 years and be like 'aw what great memories?'

he doesn't need this freakin box to remember the great times he had with Terra. they're in his head. and right now, Terra has obviously moved on while he hasn't. and that sucks. this thing represents their kindof sortof relationship, and throwing this it is just a step in the right direction for him. throwing the box doesn't mean that he never wants to think about Terra again. it just means that he's ready to start letting go of the thought of him and her being together. why should he keep angsting over her if it's never gonna happen? it's not fair to him.

- whyy would raven ever stop him from throwing it? it's his, he made it, and she's not the type of person to intrude on or question these types of decisions made by her friends...

- I don't hate Terra. I used to, but now i kind of appreciate her. maybe in an alternate reality her and bb could've worked out. they had their cute moments. but in this universe the odds were ever not in their favor. yea.

-do i think throwing a heart shaped box will make beast boy magically get over her just like that? no. these things take time, but raven pretty much told him that his friends would help him get through it, so he felt ready to give up the dang box.

-the look on their faces in the last panel is not 'i luuuuhhrve you'. it's more like, 'i feel kind of relieved' and 'i'm proud of you.' don't worry, the bb/rae comics shall come later. i think these two need to grow up a little before they can work as a couple. but this experience (in my head canon) probably bonded them a little and that's a step in the right direction, right?

You mention that in an alternate reality that BB and Terra might have worked out...
The only other alternate TT reality I can think of at the moment is the comics and in those, Terra was an evil bitch. Compared to comic Terra, animated series Terra was a saint.
