I was just reading some fan theories or the general consensus a lot of people came to the conclusion of. One, that Beast Boy hallucinated Terra into rejecting him due to his state of denial his mind wouldn't get over. The second, was that Terra did come back (the more likely of the two) but chose not to return as a Titan or as Slade's apprentice and abandoned her life of misery that led her to that point. Beast Boy really doesn't understand what kind of life Terra lived before meeting the Titans. I think she experienced a clinical form of depression given her distance made from people in general, always on the move and by herself all the time. IN a way, she is closer to Raven in that regard, but instead of embracing darkness and gloom she tries to cover it up with smile and attitude which crumbles when the facade is ripped apart.

Terra sacrificed herself for the Titans, but now she's sacrificed the Titans for herself. You could see legitimate pain on her expression when she had the last conversation with BB in "Things Change,". "What do you want from me?" You can clearly see that she wants to move on and restart her life as a normal girl. During her demise at the end of Season 2, BB's narration at the end talked about her powers were a great gift but also a curse. She wanted to be rid of her powers, but that meant leaving the Titans too. This was like the break-up BB never wanted to hear, but neither did she.

Poor Beast Boy can't get over it and Terra knows no other way to solve the issue than dodge it while telling him to forget about her.
